GOAL: To recreate an Adam West era Batmobile out of aluminum for vintage racing.
This is a case study in choosing the right metal fabricator for the job. Vintage Tin was supplied with a project that few other fabricators had the time, or expertise to complete. We took on a comic book classic and turned out some stellar work.
Drawings and reference images were turned into a wire frame, panels were hand shaped to the frame, and sub structures were built to support it all. From door hinges to wheel wells, Vintage Tin has meticulously created a work of aluminum art.
GOAL: Create a perfect Porsche 356 front nose buck, and produce 5 noses for a customer.
There are a few companies or shops around the world trying to produce a Porsche 356 front nose, but few of them understand the subtle differences between the various model years. Not having access to high quality 3D scans makes it even harder for them.
Luckily, Vintage Tin had access to the cars needed to create a perfect buck. The results speak for themselves.
GOAL: Rebuild a White transport truck cab onto a 1990 Ram chassis.
The customer wanted something to tow their Porsche 356 with, and thought it would be a unique idea to have a flatbed custom made for this purpose.
An audacious project to say the least, but it was fun bringing this zany napkin sketch into the real world.
With each new fabrication or restoration project, we aim to push the limits of our skills and test the boundaries of our metalworking knowledge. Our clients are people who have a dream they want to bring into the real world.
